The application, the design of the part, and the size of the production batches are the parameters that must be taken into consideration when choosing the most suitable production process. The Geartec machine shop has a large fleet of machines that can meet a wide range of needs.
The turning department has machines equipped with double spindles and dual machining heads capable of producing complex geometries, as well as sliding headstock turning centers capable of quickly machining large series of parts or parts with a high length/diameter ratio.
The milling department has numerous 5-axis machining centers capable of precisely machining complicated parts without the need for costly reworking. The milling centers equipped with robotic automation also limit operator intervention, avoiding repetitive and error-prone tasks in mass production and thus allowing for cost savings. Machining centers equipped with vacuum tables complete the department, machining large parts or those with flat geometries.
The micro-machining department is specialized in the milling of small parts and equipped with specific instruments designed to handle small dimensions and geometries.
