PEEK – Polyetheretherketone

PEEK is a unique and versatile material, a semi-crystalline engineering thermoplastic that boasts excellent chemical resistance. Thanks to its high resistance to thermal distortion and high temperatures, PEEK components can be used in environments with temperatures up to 250 – 260 °C. The melting point of this high-performance plastic is approximately 341 °C.
PEEK materials are frequently used in environments characterized by hot water or steam, while still maintaining their physical properties, such as flexural strength and tensile strength, at high levels.
Often, polyetheretherketone is mistakenly considered simply a high-cost engineering thermoplastic. However, experienced users recognize the added value offered by PEEK plastics due to their desirable properties: the ability to produce lighter, more resilient components that can withstand demanding operating conditions for extended periods of time.
