PEEK is a unique and versatile material, a high-performance semicrystalline thermoplastic polymer that boasts excellent chemical resistance.
Due to its high dimensional stability and resistance to high temperatures, PEEK parts can be used in environments with temperatures up to 250 to 260 °C.
Parts made of PEEK can further be used in applications characterized by chemical aggression or the presence of hot water or steam, where the polymer ensures the constancy of its high mechanical properties.
The ability to produce parts that are lighter, more resilient and able to withstand demanding operating conditions for extended periods of time constitute the added value offered by PEEK, which often outweighs the cost of purchasing a polymer with unique properties.
Available on the market, in addition to the natural formulation often used in food applications, are glass or carbon fiber reinforced grades with superior mechanical properties and formulations specifically designed for tribological applications and the medical and electronics sectors.
